Villa Aretousa


Villa Aretousa is located in South Crete,at the village of Myrthios.Overlooking the bay of Plakias and the Libyan sea it offers a magnificent view of the surrounding area with the olive grooves, the mountains and Kotsifos gorge.

Aretousa is a traditional cretan house fully renovated and restored , built with stone and wood in the centre of Myrthios by Ioannis Peristerakis and his family.

On the outside , there is a garden with beautiful flowers , a private swimming pool, a large shaded seating area and the barbecue.

In the inside ,

on the ground floor, we find the kitchen and living/dining room area, a bedroom and a bathroom. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the required electrical appliances. In the living room the open fireplace stands out and promises warm winter nights. Satellite TV and Wi-Fi internet (24Mbps) along with a radio/cd player are there to cover all your technological needs. Next to the living room there is a bedroom with two single beds and a full bathroom with shower. Following the internal wooden staircase we get to the second bedroom which has a twin bed and a full bathroom with a hot tub.

On the second floor there is also a large protected balcony from where you can enjoy the wonderful view while taking your breakfast or drinking a glass of wine as the sun sets in the mountains.

All rooms are air-conditioned and Villa Aretousa has a private parking space.

In Myrthios you can find four (4) restaurants within a walking distance of five (5) minutes.
They are all well-known for their traditional recipes.

In Plakias, in just 2.5km distance from Myrthios you can find more restaurants, fish taverns, cafeterias, super markets, fruit markets, beach bars, and clubs for your entertainment.

In a distance of 2.5 to 5 km you can find many beautiful beaches of South Crete such as Plakias, Foteinari, Souda, Damnoni, Amoudi, Skoinaria and more...

Myrthios is 30km away from Rethymno (closest port) ,110km from Heraklion (port and airport) and 90km away from Chania (port and airport).
